Ingredients:

  • Shea Butter: 40g (1.4 oz)
  • Cocoa Butter: 20g (0.7 oz)
  • Baobab Oil: 15ml (0.5 fl oz)
  • Coconut Oil: 15g (0.5 oz)
  • Essential Oil (optional):
  • For adult use: 3-5 drops total
  • For baby use: 1-2 drops total
  • Recommended Essential Oils: Lavender (calming, soothing), chamomile (anti-inflammatory, gentle), or vanilla (comforting, subtle fragrance) work beautifully in this cream.
  • **Essential Oils to AVOID: Citrus oils should be avoided if the cream will be used in sunlight as they can cause photosensitivity.

Simple Instructions:

  • In a heat-safe bowl, gently melt the shea butter, cocoa butter, and coconut oil together using a double boiler method or microwave in short 15-second bursts
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly (but not solidify)
  • Stir in the baobab oil
  • Add essential oils if desired (remember to use fewer drops if the cream will be used on a baby)
  • Allow mixture to cool, stirring occasionally to maintain a smooth consistency
  • For a whipped texture, once the mixture has cooled but is still soft, whip with a fork or whisk until light and fluffy
